Cornelius Hackle in Hello, Dolly! at Arrowrock Lyceum Theatre

“It Only Takes a Moment” which begins with a solo by Hackl, is nicely performed by Matt Gibson.

Teen Angel in Grease! at Reagle Players

One of the biggest scene stealers in this show is Matt Gibson… His strong baritone voice fills the auditorium with its power and the final falsetto notes will send chills up your back.
--Theatre Mirror

Ren in Footloose! at Surflight Theatre

Matt Gibson kicks Ren into high gear. Gibson’s boy-next-door good looks and charm warm the crowd from the high-octane opening scene of the show. Schmotzer and Gibson make a great pair and they’re chemistry keeps the crowd rooting for them.

Diesel in West Side Story at Barrington Stage Co.

All of the Jets have an earthy attitude, and each one is able to carve out an individual identity even as they work together as a team.
-- The Boston Globe by Terry Byrne

Much better are members of the supporting cast, including the entirety of The Jets - Justin Bohon, Matt Gibson, Spencer Howard, Michael McGurk, Michael Mindlin and John Raterman.
--Times Union Albany by Michael Eck

Action (Michael McGurk), A-Rab (John Raterman), Diesel (Matt Gibson) and Baby John (Michael Mindlin) are standouts in the hilarious "Gee, Officer Krupke."

Other standouts are… Matt Gibson as Diesel.

Never has a male chorus of singers and dancers seemed more natural and macho.

Aggie Football Player in The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at Ogunquit Playhouse

The talent pool is deep in the ensemble end as well. The working girls are a range of convincing personalities with terrific voices. Ditto for the guys, but add outstanding dancers. The show’s best footwork is when the men dance it up as football college boys heading out for a night at the ranch in “The Aggie Song.” It’s energetic an ends in a burst of wonderful choreography, brilliantly executed.

American GI/ Fred Astaire in Miss Saigon at Pioneer Theatre Company

The talented multicultural ensemble gleefully creates the raucous atmosphere of Asian nightclubs and represent American icons from Fred and Ginger to Jackie O. and Elvis in “The American Dream”… The powerful men’s chorus rock the house in “Bui-Doi,” an anthem remembering a generation of half-American, half-Vietnamese children.

Jake/ Male Dance Ensemble in Oklahoma! NETwork’s National Tour

The show features an exciting, young 29-member company in a strong version of the 1998 London revival of the 1943 original. The dancers move much more like farmers and cowboys. They leap, kick and swirl around the stage with surprising ease.
--The Wilmington News Journal

The dream ballet is worth the wait. Stroman’s work here, well executed by the young cast, gives Agnes de Mille’s legendary dances a fresh, athletic edge.
